Ruth was born in Staincliffe Hospital, Dewsbury in August 1970. She became the final piece in the jigsaw that was Ken and Jean Harry's family becoming a new sister for Marc and Eira (who were 7 and 6 respectively at the time of her birth.)
Here is one of the earliest pictures of Ruth taken on the veranda of our flat, above the salvation Army hall at Heckmondwike:
She became a lovely little girl with long blonde hair and as cute as a button:

Ruth has undergone successful surgery in the last few years to help her overcome weight problems and has...so far...lost over 7 stones (100 pounds).

Ruth married Gary Bell in 200* and they live quite near mum in Cowplain, about 10 miles from Portsmouth. Ruth is principal tenor horn with Portsmouth Citadel Band, soprano soloist with the songsters and with vocal group 'Salvacosta'.
