The Big Picture

The Big Picture was one of two bands featuring ex-members of Blood and Fire. Marc and Alvin formed 'Cross Purposes' in 1989 but only a one live recording exists of the band. They recorded one song 'Theme Park USA' for a compilation album released during a Salvation Army holiday week at Butlins. The Big Picture formed as 'The Eden' but changed their name to avoid confusion with another Christian band at the time. TBP was Alvin and Karl Allison, Simon Barnet with 2 other Christian musicians, Lee on guitars and Neville Raine on bass. In latter years Lee left and Nev transferred to guitar, Karl was replaced by Marc (keeping the three ex-B&F members) and James ***** joined to play bass. For a while they also added Cally Deal, a young violinist to the line-up as well.
Although not officially disbanded most of the members of TBP are very busy, middle-aged businessmen and find it more and more difficult as the years go by to find the time to 'come out and play'. I think most of the band would love to play at least one more great gig before they cart us all off to the OAP home!
